Perform accurate and timely accounting and audit support work, including the preparation of client financial statements, draft audit reports, management reports, and other agreed deliverables Prepare audit working papers, draft findings, and supporting documentation in accordance with internal methodologies and applicable standards Identify risks, gaps, exceptions, and areas requiring further review, and escalate issues to Managers, Reviewers, or Directors when necessary Ensure all statutory, engagement, and internal deadlines are met consistently Maintain approximately 90% utilization on client-chargeable work and work toward a minimum recovery rate of 80% on billable engagements Attend weekly work-in-progress meetings and provide clear updates on job status, priorities, and delivery risks Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, financial reporting standards, and audit requirements Respond to client emails and queries within one business day whenever possible Provide realistic completion timeframes and ad hoc client support as required Communicate work progress, client concerns, and delivery issues to senior management at the earliest opportunity Maintain organized working papers, uphold compliance standards, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal rework

You'll collaborate with Australian teams to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant outputs while contributing to ongoing improvements in workflow and documentation. Your Daily Tasks Accounting & Compliance Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards. Complete BAS, IAS, and other statutory lodgements for Australian clients. Assist in the preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships. Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Bookkeeping & Reconciliations Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, MYOB, etc.). Prepare year-end journals such as depreciation as required. Proactively identify reconciliation/posting issues and seek help to resolve them.
