Ugat ng Kalusugan is looking for a dynamic and compassionate Educator to join our Education Team and play an essential role in our school and community-based programs. Reporting to the Education Programs Director, the Teacher will develop, deliver, and facilitate sessions focused on adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH), while also addressing related topics such as gender, consent, healthy relationships, and human rights. The Teacher will help ensure that young people, especially those from underserved communities, receive accurate, age-appropriate, and rights-based information. In addition to facilitating sessions, the Teacher will support training and mentoring of youth leaders through Youth Advocates, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) training, Teacher Training and other Stakeholders Training including but not limited to Health workers and Parents and contribute to administrative and programmatic tasks. Responsibilities - Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging and evidence-based educational sessions on ASRH and related topics in schools and communities. - Deliver training for teachers, SK leaders, youth advocates, and young couples, using a participatory, inclusive, and gender-sensitive approach. - Assist in the development and refinement of educational modules and training materials. - Serve as a mentor and positive role model for youth leaders and advocates. Support program monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities in collaboration with the MEL team. - Contribute to effective program implementation, including tracking project activities and assisting with budget monitoring. Support administrative tasks and documentation needs related to training and outreach efforts. - Represent Roots of Health professionally in community and partner engagements. Job Qualifications Required: - A university degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field—or equivalent relevant experience. - Genuine interest in working with youth and women in community-based settings. - At least one year of experience in teaching, youth work, or community organizing. - Strong facilitation and communication skills in both Filipino and English. - Experience in curriculum or module development. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and other work-related tools. - Organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about learning. Data Collection and Reporting: – Collect data from clinical service visits and input this information into Ugat ng Kalusugan databases to support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes. – Encode and submit reports on activities, events, and clinical operations as required. HIV – Monitors clients’ health, manages ART side effects, and reports complications or adverse drug reactions. – Provides counseling, emotional support, and education on HIV, ART adherence, and treatment protocols. – Supports treatment adherence by addressing barriers, coordinating referrals, and ensuring continuity of care. – Maintains accurate client records and coordinates with inventory staff to ensure medication availability.
