Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA) is an industry association established with the objective of promoting the growth and development of the rubber glove industry in Malaysia. MARGMA plays a vital role in advocating for the interests of its members and fostering collaboration within the industry. MARGMA has been the official voice of the rubber glove industry, having collaborated closely with key government agencies, regulatory bodies and stakeholders both locally and internationally as well as related ASEAN trade associations to address issues related to the industry and its members. MARGMA is the organiser of the International Rubber Glove Conference (IRGCE).

Culture
The Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA) serves as the official voice of Malaysia’s rubber glove manufacturers, representing its ordinary members, the core producers of rubber gloves in the country. Beyond that, MARGMA also includes associate members, encompassing key stakeholders and supporting organizations essential to the continued growth and innovation of the industry. These include chemical suppliers, latex producers, logistics providers, engineering and machinery companies, material suppliers, consultants, government agencies, traders, exporters, and more. Collectively, MARGMA’s members form a comprehensive ecosystem that drives Malaysia’s leadership in the global rubber glove market. MARGMA has grown from 18 members in 1991 to more than 250 members (70+ Ordinary and 200+ Associate members) as of March 2025. Since the inception of MARGMA, its members have collectively grown by leaps and bounds. Several companies have been or are currently publicly listed, testament to the industry’s phenomenal growth. Some MARGMA members are the world’s largest producers of rubber gloves. Our members produce both natural rubber gloves and synthetic rubber gloves used in various industries including personal protective equipment, medical & healthcare, laboratory, food & beverage services, manufacturing, dielectric protection and other sectors.

Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager – IRGCE
The Senior Project Manager/ Project Manager – IRGCE is a full-time role based in Petaling Jaya, responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of the International Rubber Glove Conference & Exhibition. The Project Manager will ensure operational excellence across all aspects of the event, from programme development to stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership and Vision • Lead strategic planning to elevate IRGCE’s international profile. • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in line with industry trends. • Set clear goals to enhance impact, engagement, and commercial success. 2. Event Planning and Management • Oversee comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of the exhibition and conference. • Supervise timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation. • Manage relationships with internal teams, vendors, sponsors, and exhibitors. 3. Programme Development and Innovation • Assist the Technical Conference Committee in curating impactful content. • Assist to identify speakers reflecting evolving industry trends. • Introduce innovative features such as interactive sessions and digital integrations. 4. Stakeholder and Relationship Management • Build strong relationships with industry leaders, government representatives, associations, and academia. • Attract and manage sponsors and exhibitors to maximize participation and revenue. • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and vendors to ensure alignment. 5. Marketing, Promotion, and Branding • Direct marketing and branding strategies to boost international visibility. • Leverage digital platforms, social media, and traditional media. • Oversee production of promotional and marketing materials. 6. Financial Management and Revenue Generation • Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. • Identify revenue opportunities through sponsorships, exhibitor packages, and partnerships. 7. Operational Excellence • Oversee logistics, operational planning, and risk management. • Ensure seamless on-site management and execution. • Implement feedback mechanisms and post-event reviews. 8. Compliance and Reporting • Ensure compliance with regulations, laws, and industry standards. • Report event progress, financial status, and key metrics to leadership. 9. Post-Event Evaluation and Follow-Up • Conduct comprehensive post-event evaluations and submit detailed reports. • Engage in follow-up with stakeholders, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees.
