What You'll Do
What the role involves
The Senior Store Manager is responsible for overseeing overall store operations and managing multiple product categories, including Health & Beauty, Bakery, Food and Beverage, Imported Products, Food, Nonfood, and Fresh Categories. The role ensures operational efficiency, sales growth, profitability, product availability, food safety, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards and policies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee daily supermarket operations and ensure efficient execution of store policies, procedures, and operating standards. Manage the performance of Health & Beauty, Bakery, Food and Beverage, Imported Products, Food, Nonfood, and Fresh Categories. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets, improve profitability, and increase operational efficiency. Monitor sales performance, gross margins, inventory levels, stock availability, and product movement across all assigned categories. Ensure proper merchandising, product displays, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution. Supervise department heads and store personnel, providing leadership, coaching, and performance evaluation. Ensure effective inventory management, replenishment, stock rotation, and control of product wastage, spoilage, and shrinkage. Maintain food safety, sanitation, quality control, and freshness standards, particularly in Bakery and Fresh Categories. Ensure proper handling, storage, and display of imported products, food items, and nonfood merchandise. Monitor customer feedback and resolve customer concerns to maintain high service standards. Coordinate with Merchandising, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, and Human Resources to support store objectives. Monitor operating expenses, manpower productivity, and resource utilization to achieve financial targets. Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, occupational safety standards, and food safety requirements. Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales, profitability, inventory, and operational concerns. Identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store performance.
What We're Looking For
You might be a fit if…
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in supermarket or retail operations, preferably in a managerial or senior supervisory position. Experience managing multiple supermarket categories, including Fresh, Bakery, Food and Beverage, Health & Beauty, Imported Products, and Nonfood. Strong knowledge of store operations, merchandising, inventory control, sales forecasting, and profit and loss management. Experience in leading large teams and managing department heads. Strong leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, quality assurance, and retail compliance standards. Results-driven and capable of meeting sales, profitability, and operational targets. Willing to work on-site in Legazpi City, Albay, including weekends and holidays as required by store operations.
